ࡱ> TVS $bjbj $Foo suuuuuu`ZuuWWWWRsWsWWWRWs0WWWWW p: Our concert venue (in the same building but a different program than the Cornerzone youth center) has one purpose, to be evangelistic. Our desire is to see the venue filled with unsaved people needing to see Jesus among them. Jesus said that we are not to partner with unbelievers and so we do not. All decisions and guidelines are made by believers. People who love and follow Jesus operate our venue and we desire to find like hearted Jesus followers to partner with us in order to present Jesus to the lost, sick, hurting, and sinful. Our Concerts, unless otherwise specified, are not a hangout place for Christians. It is a place for believers to walk like Jesus walked. We are called to be in the world and not of it (John 17). Jesus prayed for us that we would be in the world and not taken out of it. He said that we should be salt and light. Our venue is a place for Christians who are rooted and grounded in the Word. They are secure in their faith; they know the love of God for the lost, they operate in the power and discernment of the Holy Spirit, and are there for the sole purpose of looking for opportunities to bring the lost to Jesus. Galatians 5 Freedom in Christ 1It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.2Mark my words! I, Paul, tell you that if you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ will be of no value to you at all. 3Again I declare to every man who lets himself be circumcised that he is obligated to obey the whole law. 4You who are trying to be justified by law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace. 5But by faith we eagerly await through the Spirit the righteousness for which we hope. 6For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love. 7You were running a good race. Who cut in on you and kept you from obeying the truth? 8That kind of persuasion does not come from the one who calls you. 9"A little yeast works through the whole batch of dough." 10I am confident in the Lord that you will take no other view. The one who is throwing you into confusion will pay the penalty, whoever he may be. 11Brothers, if I am still preaching circumcision, why am I still being persecuted? In that case the offense of the cross has been abolished. 12As for those agitators, I wish they would go the whole way and emasculate themselves! 13You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature[a]; rather, serve one another in love. 14The entire law is summed up in a single command: "Love your neighbor as yourself."[b] 15If you keep on biting and devouring each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other. Life by the Spirit 16So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. 17For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want. 18But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law.19The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. 22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. 25Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other. Our goal through our concert venue is to love those who need Jesus and bring Him to them. Our venue does not endorse the secular bands that play there and their beliefs do not reflect the beliefs of Fire UP Network and the concert venue. Fire UP Network carefully directs the leadership of our venue and our venue directors prayerfully monitor and connect with all musicians that perform. We have a relationship with each person in the band and we look at him or her individually as people, who are like the people Jesus walked among. Even though she was someone not worthy to talk to (John 4), Jesus still talked to the Samaritan woman. Another woman was thrown down before Jesus (John 8), who was pulled out of the act of adultery. He told her that her sins were forgiven and to sin no more. Jesus partied (Luke5) with Matthew right after his conversion, at Matthews house, with sinners, who everyone knew. Why didnt Jesus correct Matthew and not be seen with them anymore? Demonic, Crippled, Dirty, Corrupt, and Unclean people were whom Jesus associated with. Jesus was accused over and over again (Mark 2) of welcoming and hanging out with sinners. We welcome and hang out with sinners. Again, I would like to stress that we are the influencers and are not the influenced. Please talk to your children and the youth in your youth group. Teach them how to be like Jesus. Train them in the word so that they too can know that they should not love the things of the world, but they will be in the world teach them how to not be of it. Our life here is not to live merely as good people, there are too many of those who do not know Christ, but to be Spirit filled, clothed with Jesus among the gentiles (Please study the book of Galatians). We want to encourage you to be Godly parents and disciple-makers. Take time to investigate the types of music your children listen to, the friends they associate with, and know what other influences are in there lives besides Jesus. Please pray for us as you look over the facebook and myspace profiles that layout the sins of those who come to our venue We know their sin. Jesus knows their sin. They need the Savior they need us to tell them about the one who died for their sin and loves the sinner. At each show we have seen youth, their parents, adults, and musicians alike given the opportunity to see and hear the gospel presented in a very real way. We have been partnering up with Calvary Chapel Iron River, where our directors for the concert venue are from, and are blessed at every show, because of their love for God, ability to walk with discernment in the Holy Spirit, and live out Jesus, amongst sinners, in a relevant way. This month alone, through our concert venue, during a worship night, we have seen the salvation of three unchurched youth from the alternative school and Marquette high school! We have been able to talk directly to bands and their audience to turn to Jesus, and we have also seen two young men from a band in Escanaba make a decision for Christ. This has also brought about a new believers bible study (sponsored by Calvary Chapel Iron River) on Thursday's with an included worship night. If you have any questions about our venue, our want to partner with us, please contact Wilson Pla (Interim Executive Director of Fire UP Network) at HYPERLINK "mailto:wilson@fireupnetwork.org"wilson@fireupnetwork.org He would love to talk with you! aby bdAW$X$$$$$$h"h20Jjh2U h2CJhOhh2CJh2h~%hfEh%hhfECJhIh%h A\cuO% !0###$gd2":p2/ =!`"`#`$`%666666666vvvvvvvvv666666>6666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666hH6666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666662 0@P`p2( 0@P`p 0@P`p 0@P`p 0@P`p 0@P`p 0@P`p8XV~ OJPJQJ_HmH nH sH tH D`D HNormalCJ_HaJmH sH tH DA`D Default Paragraph FontRiR Table Normal4 l4a (k ( No List 6U@6 ,-0 Hyperlink >*B*phPK![Content_Types].xmlN0EH-J@%ǎǢ|ș$زULTB l,3;rØJB+$G]7O٭Vsקo>W=n#p̰ZN|ӪV:8z1f؃k;ڇcp7#z8]Y / \{t\}}spķ=ʠoRVL3N(B<|ݥuK>P.EMLhɦM .co;əmr"*0#̡=6Kր0i1;$P0!YݩjbiXJB5IgAФ޲a6{P g֢)҉-Ìq8RmcWyXg/u]6Q_Ê5H Z2PU]Ǽ"GGFbCSOD%,p 6ޚwq̲R_gJSbj9)ed(w:/ak;6jAq11_xzG~F<:ɮ>O&kNa4dht\?J&l O٠NRpwhpse)tp)af] 27n}mk]\S,+a2g^Az )˙>E G鿰L7)'PK! ѐ'theme/theme/_rels/themeManager.xml.relsM 0wooӺ&݈Э5 6?$Q ,.aic21h:qm@RN;d`o7gK(M&$R(.1r'JЊT8V"AȻHu}|$b{P8g/]QAsم(#L[PK-![Content_Types].xmlPK-!֧6 0_rels/.relsPK-!kytheme/theme/themeManager.xmlPK-!\theme/theme/theme1.xmlPK-! ѐ' theme/theme/_rels/themeManager.xml.relsPK] F A\cuO%000000000000000000000000$!$"WX8@0( )Mo B S ?6>?BCJ>HINOS-c5v ; f 02@`@UnknownGTimes New Roman5Symbol3 Arial7Cambria 1h&&( 2D4J#H?'I0" bill palaski bill palaski Oh+'0 / , 8 DPX`hp'bill palaski Normal.dotmbill palaski2Microsoft Word 12.0.0@F#@@(G-PICT-b HHb bHHbb !!
